Welcome to the Central Districts Regional Committee

As of 30 June 2008, the Central Districts Contract Bridge Centre, ceased its operation and was superseded by the Central Districts Regional Committee on 1 July 2008.

This change was the result of the New Zealand Contract Bridge Association (NZCBA) changing its Constitution in September 2007 to become known as New Zealand Bridge Incorporated (NZ Bridge). The once-affiliated members of the Centre then became directly affiliated to NZ Bridge who now collect all levies, a portion of which is passed on to the Regional Committee to assist the running of that Committee.

The new Regional Committees will perform all the tasks that the old Centres used to carry out with a reduced number of Committee members.
